did you switch the computer? you might need to get a chip to fix it

Which computer? I use the ecu from the 318ti m42(it was a automatic though) My vehicle does not have trip cumputer if you mean that.Anyone has an automatic m42?Maybe they are limited to 210km/h

Recently i bought an m42 from a 318ti automatic and fitted it in my e36.The problem is i have a speed limiter at 210km/h.Why is this happening?Is it because the engine was from an automatic car?Any easy way to fix it?I would appreciate some help guys..thanx...

Engine + Driveline / stock pistons,rods,-88mm crank

Hello all,

My question is this:Is it possible to use stock pistons and rods (m42 from e36) with 88mm crankshaft? (bore remains 84mm) What will be  the  new CR?Are there any dangers?(piston hits valve etc) Or should  the pistons be machined? Thanx guys..
