For Sale / M42-M44 racing, tuning, stock engine parts for sale - Hungary
« on: February 10, 2016, 12:23:32 AM »
Hi all!

I have M42 and M44 engine parts for sale. Originally there were 4 complete M42s (from E30 and E36), 1 M44, and a high compression 1600 ccm M42 race engine with machined head, polished conrods, solid lifters, custom intake and exhaust cams, etc. All the engines are partly or completely disassembled.I also have a half finished ITB and stroker project: 42mm ITBs with spacers to 91mm, M47 90mm crankshaft, Honda conrods, 10 pcs. of S50B30 pistons(6 with nem rings), intake bellmouthes, etc. I have a big folder of pictures about the parts, measurement of the camshafts, engine block, pistons.

I would like to sell the parts together, which are located in Hungary. The price of the package is 1796 €. For further information please contact me.

Have a nice day!

Does that sticker really adds 5 bhp? If yes, I need - let me count - approximately 20 of them.:)

Hi Lambertius!

The M42's original plenum volume is ~2 L. As you leave the intake length almost the original 350mm (if I am not mistaken), did you leave the airbox volume the same? Or does this modification needs the bigger plenum volume?

Ohne Lader,
post them on a photobucket account or imgurl and use use the insert image tag.

Thanks, here are the pics:
As you can see, the dimensions of the M20 starter are the same as the M400-42-44 starter, so plug-and-play.

Hi All!

I did a little research in the weekend. I measured M42-M44 DMF and M20 L-Jet FW which is 2,5 kgs lighter than average M20 FWs, so it's 6.090 kg. M42 DMF with pressure plate and clutch disc: 16.93 kg, M20+pressure plate+clutch disc: 12.790 kg! And another advantage: the L-Jet FW's crankshaft side is thinner, and at this swap you don't need the spacer/washer removed from M42 FW.

ps: I'm a new member, don't really know how to attach pictures, but I have a lot about this swap.
