Engine management / Engine running rough on acceleration HELP!!!!
« on: August 22, 2009, 08:12:24 PM »
Hi guys,
I have a problem. I will try to be as detailed as possible.

One day I washed my car and I took it out for a drive and it started misfiring on acceleration(kind of bogging down) but then went back to normal everytime I pressed the throttle.

I checked all the forums and stuff and did all the required work. I haven't touched the crank position sensor yet.

First I changed fuel filter, spark plugs, sparkplug cables, vacuum lines and then finally the fuel pump. Problem still persists. What else can it be?
I need to check the crank position sensor and I also heard about the oxygen sensor. Somebody has the same problem?

Any help would be appreciated.

Engine + Driveline / Differential question
« on: October 09, 2007, 11:42:49 AM »
Hi, i have a 318is, 91'
It has some problems once i press the clutch(the famous clunk noise). It seems to be the bushing etc. Here is a link to my pictures and what people have said. http://www.e30tech.com/forum/showthread.php?t=46692

So the rear end needs some work.

I know that i only have a normal differential, but is it possible or can it be a good decision to swap it with a lsd from a 318 convertible? That can avoid time replacing the old bushing from the diff. i have now. What do you guys think?

Thanks,

Vince.
