Blackhawk found his, but it had a crack in it.  (Thanks anyway, Blackhawk!)

Still looking for one.

That would be great!  The sooner I get one the better, but fortunately I also have my e36, so I don't have to risk life and limb with the JB welded pulley every time I go anywhere haha.  Please do let me know if you have one :)

Hi guys-
I'm in of a good crank pulley, aka harmonic dampener from an e30 m42.  Mine came apart and i'm currently driving around with it held together with jb weld, which is clearly a terrible idea, haha.  :p

Please let me know if you have one available!  Thanks!

If you still have the front crank pulley/vibration dampener, I'd be interested!  Thanks.

Engine + Driveline / Can I get by without a head rebuild?
« on: February 02, 2011, 03:54:07 PM »
rjcatsean, I think that all looks quite good, actually.  If it was me, I'd clean it up and put it all back together with some new gaskets.  Just check carefully for cracks, as mentioned previously.  My head also cracked between the exhaust valve seat and the coolant channel.

dakon, if you still need lifters I have an extra set I'd sell cheap.  Send me a PM if you want them.

Engine + Driveline / Clutch Replacement/Transmission Removal

Yep, the starter nuts can be quite a pain...later model e36s have threaded starters rather than bolts and it is much easier.  You don't need to pull the engine (or even the intake manifold), it just takes some creative use of extensions and u-joints.  Alternatively, you could tack-weld the nuts onto the starter to emulate the later model threaded starters.

Good luck!
