hey dave, I figured it out!! it was a small connector just under the passenger footwell. it has a red wire with a white stripe which I think provides the 12V power to the CD Player Slash Headunit. It has a 1 foot by 1 foot plastic box with some other connectors left inside. So when I did the interior of my car I must have forgot about reconnecting. now that I have reconnected it the power is restored back to my head unit. I also think it may have caused issues with my alarm which I will rewire up tomorrow and look.
