Title: Rear window movemnet since lowered
Post by: tntempest on October 27, 2009, 01:28:54 PM
All,

Has anyone else noticed their rear window making a squeaking sound from the chassis flexing now that you suspension is much harsher.   I have bavarian auto springs and Bilstein shocks and have upgraded to 16" wheels with 205 50 16 neo-gens by nitto.   Now everytime I go around a corner hard I can hear the back glass squeak in its frame when it's under a load.  It is very annoying.  Nothing about the window is loose as far as looking or touching.  The car has about 200k.  Only thing I could think of was a rear tower brace or having the window reinstalled.

Maybe replace the gasket?  Are you certain it's the window shifting?

That sounds like some serious chassis flex, if your windows want to shift. I would investigate further. I have never heard of this issue. DeskTop Dave is quite knowledgeable ask him for some advice.
