Title: Should Pics Be Required in Member Profiles?
Post by: M42boy on August 07, 2006, 04:12:24 PM
I vote pics should be a requirement for posting in this section!

If you don't have a pic attached, you can't start a thread... is there a way to do that... Or, have it nuke your PC if you don't ...  lethal virus, etc.

Maybe I'm just being an A-hole.

I mean, how hard is it to go out in your driveway and take a shot of the car?  I waited several months before posting till the car had said work done to it and was in somewhat of a presentable state before I put a profile up.  Maybe it's just me though.

Giga... this has nothing to do with you specifically, so don't feel that I'm singleing you out.

That all being said, welcome to the M42 and welcome to the list.
Most people here are helpful and not jerks like me.

Being of limited computer savvy, would the site host the image or do you have to have your pic hosted somewhere and link to it?  Make sense?

I have pics but honestly don't have somewhere to host it/them.

you can always include pics as an attachment to your post, but if you are in a pinch, email the pics to me jsfrank@gmail.com and I can put them up for you...

No, its not that big of a deal. Some don't wanna post pics, that's their choice just as it is anyone elses choice.

Yea , That's the Maine Grunge Look :D

Typical day
1 ) split  wood
2) lug wood
3) burn wood
4) haul out ashes

Repeat next day

As for the unhappy look ( sometimes I want to use  that axe on the car ) but then I remember that I love it and I go and get the sledge hammer...........

Some of us a) don't have cameras, or ready access to cameras, or 2) don't particularly want to put pictures of our cars up, or c) don't have an M42 yet/anymore.

None of this applies to me, although I have yet to get a decent picture of the car up. However, I don't think we should block anyone from posting just because they choose not to put pictures up.

Next thing you know, you won't be able to post unless you have AIM, or run Linux, or...  whatever.

I think having an interest in the car should be sufficient.
