Title: Lower Timing Cover gasket change
Post by: KenC on October 08, 2009, 03:55:17 PM
Is it possible to change the lower timing cover gasket(s) without changing the upper oil pan gasket and upper timing cover gaskets?

It depends on if you're talking about the inner (timing case) or outer timing cover.  If you do the outer only I would still do both the upper and lower as well as the profile gasket and main seal and thermostat housing.

If you're doing the inner cover or lower timing case, you have to do the oil pan gasket and might as well do the head gasket.
