Title: Spoiler clips. Whats the hook for?

Is that there just to make it easier to unclip the spoiler or are you supposed to "saftey wire" them somehow? Just seemed like an uncessary hook.

Are you on about the clips that hold the IS front lip on if so you pull the hook with a pair of pliers and then un clip the spoiler
