Getting a used 318is is exciting, finding parts is not so exciting. Replaced the TSP (easy to come by) then realized I need cooling system water hoses and vac lines. Now this has proved to less than readily available.
Where do you guys go for parts? And do you have to order most of them?
Thanks

bma and autohausaz.com
Avoid all ebay sellers that sell oem style replacement parts. It took me a month and a half to get my control arms and I ordered a pair from from two different places (hoping one could get them to me faster after the first one took three weeks). Neither of them could get it done in a reasonable amount of time. Typically, after shipping, you'll save maybe $5 over Autohaus but it will take two months to get your stuff instead of two days.

Being really new to the E30 (1 week today) I have had time to start pumping new life into my car. Expansion tank, oil leak stuff. Found the gaskets and filters with no effort. Also got the TPS easily enough. While working on the engine I noticed the water lines and vac lines were cracking. So like a butcher with a machete I began to slice and dice. Now I find the hoses have to be ordered. Takes a couple of days.
My other car is an E46 so I never have (knock on carbon fiber) a problem with parts. Guess I should be better on my parts removal and more pro-active in my research. I will add, the help I have gotten here is spectacular.
I appreciate the help and just have to find a good source of harder to find parts with a quick ship policy. Keep the input coming. Hopefully I will be on the road next Tuesday.
Thanks guys!

BMA would probably be your best source. They're well known for their customer service. Call them at (888) 262-3911 and ask for Patrick.

Tough crowd! It wasn't the link I wanted. This is not an ebay store! They used to be in Pottstown PA, but they moved to MD. last year for obvious reasons(more BMW owners!) I buy all of my OEM parts from them and the shipping is 1-2 days UPS for me cause I live in PA. I look for the parts on the website then I call the 800# to order.
