Title: auto transmission,m40, (zf 4hp-22)

hi all
my car is e30 m40 auto trasmission 4drs .

now my project is swap the engine(m42) to e30 car but now i got some problem. anybody know these info..
1.can i use auto transmission of m40(4hp-22) to m42 engine?
2.can i use the old final drive of m40 ?

Both blocks are the same so once you swap the spignot bearing.

Not sure how the M42 would be suited to an auto box however as it's a very revy engine compared to the M42.
