Title: compatible fuel pumps for 318is?

hey, i need a new fuel pump.. sound like mine is about to go. would a pump out of an e30 325 work ok with it?

i can get this before weekend if it will work..

Call the parts store and ask them what the pressure is and the GPH or LPH numbers are and compare them. and then post them here so we all know

you can take the main parts from the 325 pump and transfer them over to the "carriage" from the m42 pump, solder in the new wires, but it will idle/run very rough.   the m42 fuel pump has an internal dampner in it, which only comes in the 4 cyl engines.  your only real choice is another m42 pump.

I've put in a Walbro fuel pump in mine... Previously used the fuel pump from Mitsubishi too.. Just need to secure it to the carrier and solder the 2 wires. DIY job.
