OK, what's the trick to getting that metal strap around the blower motor to actually seat and lock the motor in place?
Apparently I am not getting it right, because I cannot get the thing to go on.
Words of wisdom?

The motor has to be properly "clocked" and installed in the correct orientation or it will not be seated enough for the strap to be connected. There is a "dent" in the motor that has to line up with the raised bump on the mounting location. You have to look at it carefully, because its not real obvious.

Nope, got the motor clocked, but the damned spring wouldn't seat. Finally it kept bending, so I used a stainless zip tie and strapped the motor down - apparently there are none of those straps to be had in the U.S. inventory, and I need to get the damned thing back together after 2 years of being apart.
I think it was a combination of the plastic where the strap hooks being somewhat worn from the PO (surely it wasn't me!:)) and the spring steel losing it's 'spring'. We'll see if it works - if it does, I'm done; if not, I'll have to take it all apart again much later...
