So, last week when I changed out my transmission mounts, I found this empty bracket with two rubber mount points.

Any idea what typically mounts here? My guess is a vibration damper of sorts...
Anybody with a pic of what goes here would solve it for me.
Thanks!

Exhaust hanger I believe.

JP 91iS, Thanks for the pic! Are those Urethane tranny mounts? Do they make much difference in feel?

you might find the hanger in a wacking yard, but the rubber mounts might be shot the often are. they are like a typical mount, with a bolt that does not go through. iirc I used the rubber mounts form my airbox (parts car) . so if you find the bracket, look for some mounts, or order new ones
if you cant find a hanger, let me know, I might have a spare for 10 plus shipping

They are Ireland Engineering polyurethane mounts. They feel good, not that much extra noise/vibration - it really all depends how loose the rest of the car is (=more noise). I can't say if they are better than a set of new stock bushings since when I got my car they were totally shot, so any mounts were an improvement.
And yes the airbox mounts have the same part number so you can use those for the hanger.

Found a bracket at Pick n Pull, but no rubber mounts (looked in 8 cars). Ordered a pair from the local dealer... Thanks everyone!

Thanks again for the identification of the missing support bracket. It's now in place and the torn hangers I had further back are all now repaired. Dropped a Magnaflow 11236 in as well and it sounds sweet!
Thanks, you all rock!
