Ever since I had my e36 318is I wanted to have all-round vented rotors...
I went and bought from a salvage yard 2 calipers and 2 rotors from a 320i e46 saloon ...
I came over an interesting problem... I think the flexible hose that connects the caliper does not match the e46 caliper... my worry is that the e46 caliper has a larger whole than my e36 rubber hose...
Can someone prove me wrong ? :( Please do !!! :(

I don't know about that, I would not upgrade the rear brakes without a matching upgrade for the fronts. You may throw the brake bias off and not get the expected behavior from your car.

okey, I get that, I've seen other projects like mine on other forums but they don't specify if the hoses match .... so ? anyone ?

Here you can find intresting stuff:

it helped a bit ... saw that u could mount e46 328i calipers on 308mm rotors from 540i e34 ... but I didn't see nothing about the flexible hoses :|

Why don't you use the hose from a E46 you took the calipers? Metal piping is easy to modfiy to accept the hose if it is different.

that's a great idea ....
now comes another question ... what size of 12 point socket, 3/4" do I need?
I feel it is a 32mm or 34 mm?

went through with the upgrade... and boy oh boy how good are my braking distances !!!
It was worth it ... everything fitted like a glove :D
