Title: Rear seat removal e30
Post by: Jorgeconrico on August 01, 2009, 12:09:29 PM
I can't get the rear back rest out. The bench just popped out. Are there bolts that I'm missing?

There are two bolts at the bottom corners, one on each side. Once you take those out, pull up on the back rest which will release it from the clips then it should come right out.

Down on the bottom on each side should be a metal strap. Follow it to the end and you should locate a 10mm bolt if I remember properly.

Here's a picture of my old gray cloth seat back showing the metal strap.
