hey guys, i am in the process of refreshing my suspension. I cant get the CAB (lollipop) off of the control arm.
The control arm is still on the car. what do you guys recomend i do to get it off without completely taling the control arm off of the car. Ive tried silicone spray...

Can you get a gear puller in there? I usually stop by Advance Auto for their free tool rentals.
-
i have not tried that, and have never even seen one of those things. I will try and pick one up after work.
how do the arms of the puller lock on?
and another question... Where is the best place to get all of the torque specs for our cars?
DD, it never fails, anytime i post a question, you reply in minutes with an answer. its unbelievable. Thanks as always.

You have 2 options. The factory tool, which works like a gear puller. You can try a gear puller but might be difficult. I have tried but depends on puller.
other options is to pull as hard as possible spraying lube and hammer which is not good.
3rd is you a drill and small bit to drill the metal ring that goes around the arm. Over on the e30 tech there is a how to from Peerless with pics on how to do it.

i tried the hammer and spray method to no avail. I found peerless' link with the drill method.. seems like that will work well. Thanks for the help, and here is the link if anyone else is interested
