Title: single pipe exhaust to dual pipe back box
Post by: M42_Jester on June 27, 2009, 08:35:27 PM
has anyone tried this conversion?

i'm looking at a dual pipe back box from Eisenmann, but it looks to me like they would only fit a 6-cyl engine with 2 pipes coming from the exhaust manifold. is it possible, by using a Magnaflow Y-pipe, to go from a single pipe off the exhaust manifold, to a dual pipe back box?

here is what i'm looking at:

with the Magnaflow Y-pipe:

is it at all possible?

wat if it went around the spare wheel well? i'm sure it can be configured so that the pipe splits before the wheel well and goes around it

why not just split the line and then add a second resonator???  like doubling the line where the stock one leaves the centre line of the car, and make it go arround the spare wheel both ways??
