Title: E36 M3 calipers to fit on E36 318iS discs?
Post by: M42_Jester on June 19, 2009, 06:05:38 AM
Does anyone know if the M3 brake calipers will fit on the stock 318iS (E36) discs? is it as simple as just taking them off an M3, and putting them on the other discs...or am i just thinking that it is?

Cheers,
Jester

Not that simple, the caliper typically won't bolt up to the knuckle. As for the disc, if you were to use an M3 caliper with a 318 disc only half of the pad would actually touch the disc, the rest would be too far out.

Won't work

you would have to use the m3 knuckle with hub rotor caliper and pads then it would work.
