Hi, I am new here, I am from Slovakia
My BMW E36 318iS 12/1993 wonīt start. :confused:
Starter runs OK.
Spark plug donīt make spark.
When engine was hot, car started with problems but started, wneh engine come cold car wonīt start.
I chcecked "Crankshaft position sensor" - the resistance was 502 ohms, is that ok?
Cranksaft sensor have resistance 1290 ohms
What I shoud to chceck?

Did you give the car a really good wash recently? Or run it through a high-pressure car wash? I know the early e36 is famous for flooding the plenum and then the soggy computer/ECU/DME won't run. Check if the little 'elephant trunk' drain on the passenger side firewall is clogged up. It's under the brake lines a little bit, beside the rear of the engine.

Also remember that you can't just swap the ECU/DME on some of those cars too, they have to be matched with the EWS system.
