Title: a very little shimmy
Post by: Isamemon on May 31, 2009, 12:08:13 AM
replaced my cab bushings yesterday as I knew they were shot and boy what a difference, I am planning a full suspension overhaul ahead with sport springs, billys etc, but that may be months off
however I did noitce that I have a bit of play on the drivers wheel side. maybe 1/4 inch. it seems to be either in the rack, or something in the boot.
I have not torn into one of these before. the pass side is tight. it is not in the outer ball joint, that is tight

I do not know the termonology, but can the other end of the tie rod (that in drawings does not look like a ball joint but some kind of pivot) be worn and causing this, or am I looking at a newer rack

the p/s has been deleted , as the pump was leaking, so I dleted all that and used the delete block
maybe it nees fluid squirted in there, I dont know

ideas ?
