Title: ARP Head Studs Kit
Post by: bbarnumboy on May 18, 2009, 06:27:50 PM
why is it that places like summit racing Jegs everyother ARP dealer and ARP themselves sell a kit for a 318i...when i search for my 1993 318is it comes up with  a arp kit which is 201-4601  well i bought this kit and it says it is for a 2002, 318i, and a 320i....well these studs are way to wide to even fit in the holes....why are they advertising the wrong kit...anybody know the correct kit number for the m42 so i can return this kit thats completely wrong...or better yet what engine is this kit for.

Betcha money that's for the M10. You may have to provide them with specs and see if they can cross reference something, because even the ARP website doesn't list an application for the M42.

thanks alot i will have to check them out. it shows that they sell the kit, so they must put a kit together using studs they found to be the correct sizes...interesting.  sux i have to go through a return process and all. oh well.

pretty sad when the major auto suppliers post the kit i bought under 318i and 1993 category.
