i was just wondering how much of a hassle it is to remove the ignition swith from the column, i need to remove a key thats broken inside and get a new set of keys made

a good locksmith can remove the broken key easily. but if you want to spend the extra money on it and replace the lock cylinder and you and can rotate it, turn it forward to start and there it a little hole that you can use a pick and press and hold a small pin inside then rotate back to run and pull straight out

can the locksmith cut new keys without taking the switch out
