hi everyone im new to bmw this is my first one i just had a quick question do i need to got to the dealer to get a new key cut, the old one got broken inside the ignition switch, and what should i look for if the car overheated, besides the obvious(melted parts, oil mixing with water)
-
Ignition - find a good locksmith. Can't imagine a dealer having any specialized expertise and would be more expensive.
Overheated - look at oil first. Also do you know why it overheated? Not much help here.

fan clutch, as for the key i can take the switch out and take to a locksmith or do i need to order a new key or can the locksmith cut me a new one
-
Take the switch to the locksmith. Should be able to remove the key and make new keys
