Title: LSD Question
Post by: max123 on May 01, 2009, 06:25:35 PM
Hi, quick question.  I'm looking at buying an LSD for my car and a tempting offer has come up.  A 4:10 LSD out of an ix model - These have a viscous coupling instead of the regular setup.

I'm not sure how this compares to the regular limited slips found in E30's.  Is this a worthwhile swap?

normal LSD >> viscous.

It's not a difficult swap

Done, got lucky - went to the wrecker instead and ended up with a 3:91 instead out of an 89 ix.  The big diff weighs more than I thought.  Anyway, if all goes well it goes in tomorrow.
