Title: DME Swap

I have an e36 m42 engine with a #0261203590 DME which is an EWS DME.Can i swap(Plug N Play?) DME with another say a #0261203282 DME.i need to do this coz i cant find a plug n play chip for the 590. HELP!

EWS is EWS  no swapping with non EWS computers.
