This engine is a monument to power and speed. M43, 8 valves, 114hp, 3200lb, 0-60 in about a week. Its only redeeming quality is that its not a 316i with 101hp. And yes, the steering wheel is on the wrong side.

In Europe and other places they are VERY common - high gas prices, and often times vehicle registration costs are determined based on engine displacement.
I wish they had brought the 4 cylinder 1 series here.
