Title: Dont know what kind of suspension to buy!..Need help
Post by: AlpineRob on March 24, 2009, 10:48:55 AM: I am looking at complete package deals on ebay to buy..Im looking to lower the car 1.25" and install all new shocks with struts..I am looking at both the bistein package and the Monroe set up or even Tokico? ( the packages are all around 400$ or just under with shipping).. How does one compare the two..how do you know which is a waste of money and which isnt..?? can anyone recommend something? this is a daily driver and do not want to compromise too much comfort. I just want a smooth, tighter feeling in handling. plus i put 16" rims on it, and the car looks funny sitting higher than it should be..

Post by: KenC on March 24, 2009, 11:07:21 AM: I'd definitely recommend the Bilstein Sports if you're going to lower it at all. Eibach Pro-Kit springs are pretty soft, would prob be good for a DD.

I run Bilstein Sports and H&R Sport springs and I love it.

but you can find better deals, they will price match. then thats when you buy from bavauto ;)

Post by: 1991 E30 M42 on April 16, 2009, 04:16:47 PM: you can get an ebay kit and be dissapointed, dont forget to factor in the cost of another kin in a year or so, for ride quality and drop, bavauto makes a nice spring, then get a set of bilstein sports, or koni sports, they will last and you will be happy with them. Trist me with the bavauto springs, i have a set and they have a nice ride, btw fuck monroe and tokiko (fowever you spell it)
