Hi Guys
yesterday i changed my power steering pump while i was under there i decided to take out the AC compressor since its been my winter car for 2 years and ac never worked.
took the car for quick drive i notice my temp. needle is shakey and when the car go over a bump the needle bounces around. when i drove back i let the car idle in my drive way and the temp gauge needle (still kinda shaky) start rising up to the red mark.
the car was perfectly fine before and im not sure if the car is actually overheating ?
Thanks guys
Edit:
Also if i let the car idle now the temp gauge needle stays around 3/4 mark but the second i turn on the heat it jumps immediately to the red mark.

My temperature gauge is shaky too. Flutters around alot. Not sure why.
Coincidentally (or maybe not), my fuel gauge has issues too. It doesn't flutter quite like the temperature gauge, but it'll float around slowly between different levels. Can sometimes vary as much as half a tank. Electrical issue maybe? I dunno...

tighten the temp gauge nut on the back of the instrument cluster. Common problem.
