I finally have my 91 318is with DA supercharger running again. I had the battery out for a while. Does the Motronic learn. The next thing I'd like to do is take it to a Dyno to check the AFR and see how healthy it is, wondering if I should wait a bit t for the Motronic to settle?

Yes it does, as it is adaptive.
-
Oh it learns. It's always learning. And when it has learned enought, it will overpower us and take over the world.
-
it will probably be really rich until the ecu adapts
-
It adapts, but only to a point. From what I understand, the DASC kit, if used as designed, can scrape by with proper AFR's. If things get too far away from stock proportions, it will toss a CEL, or just run badly.

This is true.
My car throws a CEL for 02 and Knock control every once in awhile now and only after letting it idle for more than a minute or two.
Other than that, it runs butter smooth.
Actually, my engine has been running better since the DASC install..:)
