Title: Will M3 springs work?
Post by: Tgoode318 on February 24, 2009, 09:47:40 AM
Hey everybody this is my first post on here !:D
Ok so my suspension in my E36 318i is completely blown from drifting and getting air a few times by accident :p needless to say I finally got together the cash and got some bilstein shocks. Now i need to buy springs and i am wondering if the M3 springs will fit? I also have 17"s on my car if that makes any difference thanks for all the help in advance guys

M3 springs should fit but why not just buy the right ones??  I think the only difference on M3 is brakes and the ride hight is a bit lower and a different spring rate from the regular e36. the rear springs will work for sure no doubt about that. but the fronts im not 100% sure on i wanna say yes but theres a bit of doubt.

They'll fit, but were designed for a car that's quite a bit heavier in the nose. They may not be the optimum set up.  A set of H&Rs designed for the 318i would be better.
