Title: E30 M42 head questions
Post by: dsm2002 on February 24, 2009, 07:55:42 AM
I have a few questions about the E30 M42 head.

What is the combustion chamber volume?

How easy is it to convert the e30 head to 6mm valve stems? Is it as simple as using the valve guide part no 11121735534 6.00mm from a later E36 M42? Obviously it'll required 6mm retainers and collets.

Also, does anyone have a head without inlet or exhaust manifolds? I am after the following measurements.

1. Length of inlet and exhaust ports from middle of the valve to the head face.
2. Sizes of exhaust and inlet ports
