Turbo. BMW was out of their minds when they stuck such a small engine in that chassis.
-
thats what I was think
what do you recomend?

Wheel over to europe and where 518i's are common :)

OffTopic:
for sure we have a lot of 518i, we pay 1.35 USD for one liter 95oct / 5.1 USD for one gallon. it's painful every time u fill your car up.
Ontopic
put a respirator on ur car, that's what i'm going to do. 200bhp will do it i think.

I'd say they exist but they're not that common :)
-
In Ireland they exist!! Our taxation is based on engine size, and now on carbon index.. Diesels now abound!!

confirmed, in italy i never saw 1. 520i e34 are very common
for the 318is, obviously with 140hp on 1250kg it's quite slow, but with few modifies you can get 150-155hp and it starts to be fun, turbocharging it like danny did you can get 200hp cheapy and not dangerous!
