Trying to figure out if I could sell it easily. This is from a 95 318i, I dont know if its LSD or not yet. I wanted to get a rear end with a little longer gears for highway driving.
I was told I could sell my rear end for a profit, but I didnt know if a 325 guy would put this diff in his car because I know its smaller. Dont knw if it is weaker or not.

DOH! I switched my title to WOULD. I know they will fit, I just wanted to know if its a common thing for 325 guys to do, I didnt wanna try and trade someone if it wasnt a sought after thing for them to do. 410's or just way to short for me.

I'm sure it will work, but you will run the risk of potentially breaking something

Ok. So Im pretty much not gonna find someone who is gonna want to buy/trade my diff and axles unless its another M42. Thanks, Ill just have to upgrade later.

Wait don't e36's run zf trannies with a 1.00 5th gear, if that is the case you don't have a 4.10. Even if it was a 4.10 small case, you can sell them to people here.

Whats a price it could sell for? I was told my diff was a 410

Well, I don't think it is a 4.10, I would get under the car and find the diff tag to be sure. But most lsd diffs run around $250 depending on what it is. It will come down to what a buyer is willing to pay.

Youre right I probably dont have a 4.10, thats just what I was told when I bought it. I still have to get down and check it out. I was informed by another member I have a 3.45, and I want to go with a 3.64
