Title: Radiator leaking only sometimes?
Post by: JoeDellio on February 08, 2009, 02:50:56 PM
Was trying to diagnose my no heat problem by bleeding the system. I noticed the radiator leaking from where the aluminum wraps the side of the radiator. Im guessing this is why I cant get all the air out and my heat doesnt work. The funny thing is the radiator doesnt leak all the time, it must just be when its shifted a certain way.

FYI, your heat might not be working if somebody switched the heater core hoses that go through the firewall.

I need to check for that. I cant really see where its at. Does the vent under the front windshield need to be removed to mess with the heater core and heater valve?

Oh, you have an E36--I thought you had an E30.  Sorry, but I'm really not familiar with the heating system in those cars.
