Title: how long do these parts last?
Post by: Froos on February 07, 2009, 05:04:03 PM
The reverse roller and the chainsprocket that is on the distribution side of the crankshaft, do you change them whenever you change the distibutionchain or are they mend to last?
The reverse roller in my engine has some wear on the bearing and I think I should put in a new one.
The chainsprocket has really sharp teeth so I guess that needs to be replaced as well.
When did you last change those?

Well there is 4 sprockets to change - 2x camshaft, 1x crank & 1x idler. Change them, with the guides and chain. I did my chain at 200,000km just for maintenance.

You are talking about the M42 engine correct?
