If you want to upgrade, go with a COP (coil over plug) conversion, as you will only be spending just slightly more but will have much better ignition components afterwards.  You will eliminate the need of replacing ignition wires in the future and also eliminate the large bulky coils on the passenger side inner fender (along w/ the bracket).

The price of wires is $110+, while a complete COP kit w/ everything you need is about $150-$190 depending on if you source the used parts or buy a completed plug-n-play kit.

Or for less than $50, you can buy a set of volvo 850 wires.

i was going to say the same thing.
The volvo wires are fine on mine so far. And no need for 4 foot wires either!

All volvo 850 wires are the same but you will have to trim the skirt around the wire boot in order to make it fit in the spark plug well. I'm absolutely certain that that there are other wires out there that will also fit without any trimming I just don't know what they are. I went for these because they are all over the JYs and I was able to find a relatively new used set for $5.

Stock Bosch wires from Euro Depot for about $90 shipped.  If I didn't already have the BavAuto HP coils I would have gone COP as well.
Dan

BTW good call on the Volvo wires to save some cash.

Either stock wires or set up for a COP kit.

Check out my COP kit for details.  I have 3 kits left and they now include new coils with a 1 year warranty.  $190 shipped via 2-3 day Priority.  Order today and you can have them this weekend (within the US).  WW shipping is available.
