Title: How much Power Can I get out of this?
Post by: halcrontech on January 19, 2009, 09:15:03 PM
I am planning to rebuild my M42 motor and after some searching around the web and this site I have come up with a list of mods for the engine. Below is the list:

M47 Crank,
M50 Conrods (aftermarket, probably Eagle/PauterArrow etc)
Probably Custom 86mm pistons for 8.5 or 9 compression

Port and Polish head
+1mm oversized valves (saw on another thread abt it on ebay)
lightweight hydrolifters (unless I can get solid ones, MM is way too expensive)
Schrick camshafts
Going for at least 7000 - 7500RPM redline.

M62 or M90 supercharger.
Custom intake manifold with water intercooler

Running around 14-16PSI (will be better if it can go higher)

Of course, the usual list of mods like 4-1 extractors from ebay. 3" exhaust + straight thru muffler. Removal of cat (my country does not have cat laws) CAI, aftermarket ECU like Motec or Autronic.

I am wondering under such a configuration, how much power can I put on the wheels? Its it possible to go over 300HP?
