My first winter with the car.
I usually let it warm up for 1-2 minutes each day before driving off. Shifting around 2.5-3k, it takes about 5-6 minutes after driving off. So about 6-8minutes each winter day. It's about 25-35 degrees this month.
I believe I have a bad tstat though.
What about you guys? State the ambient temps too!

Forever and a day. Remove the clutch fan in the winter. It helps.

During winter mine takes about 3-4 minutes driving after 1min warm up. During spring/summer usually about 3-4min driving.

how exactly did you do this? I've got a stuck tstat, and norcal winters aren't that cold lately... I'm only 1.2 miles fr the freeway, and a 10 mile commute at fwy speeds equals 1/8th on the temp gauge.

allen wrench on the fan. i think theres 4 allen bolts..?
there on the front of the fan, easy 3 min job...just remove the shroud first
-
Taking off the bolts to the fan is too hard. I just took off the big nut (1.25"?) that holds on the whole fan assembly.

Just remember the threads are backwards. So righty loosy, lefty tighty. A sqirt of liquid wrench or even WD40 on the thread helps a lot.

i thought removing bolts was easier....
ohwell...everyone is to there own opinion..

Electric fan FTW :). Mine, with the electric fan, takes almost 20 minutes. The fan never comes on in the winter. This is to get to normal summertime operating temps though.

Mine takes about 3miles or 4-5 mins
-
I can get my stat well into the blue after 10 min of idle at ~20 degrees F.
-
My car takes roughly 8 minutes or so, but the outside temp is around 10 degrees.

15-20 minutes in -25C which is around -13F
