Title: Odometer and Fuel Gauge not working

My odometer and fuel gauge haven't been working lately. They seemed to go out at the same time. My fuel gauge is stuck at full, and the odometer is not moving. I am not sure if they are  related.

Does anyone have any clue on where to start?:confused:

My odometer stopped working before, it was due to the spoilt plastic gearings (got brittle and broken in pieces).... Not sure if there's original replacement parts for these gears.. I got mine from a local part dealer here for RM120 (USD 30+) 6 years ago which doesn't look like it's from BMW.. High price to pay for 4 pcs of rubbery plastic...
