Title: Removing fan speed control switch assembly
Post by: achtungE30 on June 24, 2006, 07:07:51 AM
I am trying to replace my heater/radio/OBC trim bezel. IN doing so, I will need to swap over the fan speed switch to the replacement bezel. How does it come out of the old one??? Looks like theres a little copper disc holding the stalk into the piece but I see no easy way of getting it out??

You should see some little slots in that copper disc(it is a nut).  Put a screw driver in one of those slots and twist it out.

I can guide you on this as I've got a second trim piece at home all taken apart already.  I know how to do this R&R, but can't remember off the top of my head.  If you give me a few days, I'll take pictures and post detailed instructions...  then maybe put it in the DIY section.

It's fairly easy once you know how it all goes together.  :D
