I need new shoes!
What's the best dry or wet tire for the little stock 14 in. rims?
I don't need to worry about snow in North Carolina.
I want something that will stick all of the time......And something that won't scare me on a rainy summer day simply turning into my driveway. I have Goodyear Regattas on there now....came with the car when I bought it.....they just simply suck!!
I used Bridgestone Potenza SO3 poll-position on my old Acura Integra. They were the best in both dry or wet, but Bridgestone doesn't make 'em for 14 inch.
Cheers,
dmm

Hey I have Falken RT-615's. They are good for the summer and the rainy season I switched to Falken Ziex 512's. You can get them at http://www.discounttire.com. They are about $80 dollars. (US). Both fit the 195 65 R14. Good luck. Tony.

512 is replaced by the 912 which gets really good ratings as well
-
get some falken azinas...they grip REALY WELL
you can order them here

Pirelli P6000's are one of the best multi-purpose tire for the E30 but are a typically a bit pricier than the Falkens.
-
I cast a vote toward Yokohama AVS100's in 205/60/14.

the new rt 615 are the shit 195/60r14 are sweet i have had the avs es 100 in 205/60r14 and the rt 615 in 195/60r 14 are way better in my eyes they really let you know whats going on at all times very easy tire to drive on and super freaking cheap

is this guy above me serious umm they are 14 inch rims guy any tire for this will be around 100 dollars unless its some straight slicks and even then they are cheap. i drive very very hard and take turns at well over 110 mph hour with completely stock suspension all the time (and if your thinking its the same turn i drive every day or something its not or just one turn that i do that on its not because i actually barely drive it and i walk to work i will take you on the ride of your life on the some of the backroads in maryland) the rt 615 has never let me down or the avs es 100 and for a SUPER CHEAP TIRE they are good as shit. strongly recommend them. and really guy its 318is its not a m3 remember what you drive dog THE POOR MANS M3!!!!

He didn't mean price... BMWs are always beautiful cars and very well made. I know I wouldn't want to damage mine, because it would break my heart to ruin such a beautiful car, so I would spend more money to keep it on the road and beautiful :)
-
Pay no attention to that comment. Falken RT615 are the shit and the price is a damn good deal.

Not to be prude but if I'm not mistaken, you were the one asking questions about suspension kits you found on like JC Whitney a few months back. Give the kid a break and drop the elitist attitude.

Go Jimmy Go! Well put.

i'm sorry i don't value my car as much as you. if you really want to know my car which is my only car is completely gutted in the trunk and has no back seats. i don't give a crap about this car i hope it makes you lose sleep at night knowing all this and that i drive on cheapo tires hahaha

Dang, that is not the kind of talk this forum is known for. Most people are cool to one another.
-
+1 for Azenis. They work better in the wet than you might think; I've talked to some road racers who use this for their rain set. I used to run them on the Celica - they had their foibles, but they are fairly cheap for a performance tire.

+1, sorry if i offended anyone i didn't mean it exactly how it was taken by some people.
just saying that, because super cheap tires can be found at walmart for less than 140 a set around here....i'm guilty of owning a set, and the sidewall ripped and shit.
just spend your $$ on some decent tires, not some knock off walmart brand.
cheers,
will
