What's up all you M42 cats... Been a long time visitor to the site; but finally signed up!! I have lots of BMW's... (2002's, E21's, E30, E36, Bavaria)
I have had a couple... ok, four 1991 318is' (E30 BABY!!!!). I have been collecting parts to build a functional-but-sexy road warrior, but have always managed to get them running in stock form, enjoy them, then pass them on to new Bimmer enthusists!!! I am finally going to slam all these parts i've collected over the last year.
Question: I picked up a set of AC Schnitzer coilovers a lil while back.. I cannot find ANY info on them!?!? Does anyone know anything about them? They are painted yellow, supposidly custom-valved by bilstein for ACS, threaded bodies, etc... They have the "AC Schnitzer" logo etched into the strut body. I havn't pulled out the strut insert yet...
Let me know what you guys may know about them... or if you just now are hearing about them for the first time!

wow, post pics. I've never heard of anyone withthe ACS pieces, and unfortunately I don't know anything about them.

Cool.
I'm thinking those gotta be custom race equipment....

Yup... I am going to call Bilstein today and have them decode the numbers on the strut. Hopefully they can help me set up a set for the rear to match, or revalve the fronts I have. Putting together a list of things to do to my 318is and hopefully make it look like yours Scott (verrrrrrry NICE lookin'... !! ;) )! I am going to start a new thread and post all the things I am going to do.. hopefully you guys will chime in and help me refine the list before I engage in the attack!
I will keep you posted on what I find out today.....
Ciao!
