Title: aftermarket o2 sensors

read that o2 sensors should be replaced at 100k. will be doing a head gasket, full tune up, etc, so shoud I replace the o2 sensors and do aftermarket ones work
reason I ask, can get aftermarket for 32, oem for 100+

i hear more people having problems with aftermarket ones, OE units seem to be better.
I think mine has been replaced once and my car has 268,000 miles on it......

I used a bosch one from a 94 Mustang 5.0 - clip and crimp on the e30 connector.  Works like a charm.

I've heard of many folks using the same O2 on their BMW's without any issues.  As long as it's a BOSCH O2, whether universal, that from another vehicle application or a direct fit - you should not have any issues with it.  I've had great success using BOSCH O2's over the years, never an issue and they are an OEM supplier to many automotive manufacturers.
