Title: ABS light....testing leads or ECU?
Post by: ///M3Mike on December 15, 2008, 07:59:32 PM
So the E30 back to daily duty after the lease on my E46 was up and the wife and I can't decide on a replacement.  I just did a ton of work to the E30 suspension and brake wise.  5-lug swap, M3 brakes among them.  Since then, my ABS light has made it's presence known to me.  Sometimes when I start up it will be off, but will soon light itself.

Is there a way to test the ABS leads at the wheels?  Is there a way to test the ECU?  I'd really like the system to work and don't want to buy a bunch of stuff I may not need just to test.

I'd also like to know how to test the front ABS sensors.  During a spring/strut upgrade I managed to booger one up, but not sure which one.

I deleted that spam, so of course that post makes little sense...  :D

I believe each sensor should ohm out between 650-1600 ohms.
