Okay, so after rebuilding the car, I can't figure out where the heck this plug on the AC compressor goes? Where is this supposed to plug into?

And, I only see one slot out of three filled (looks like a ground wire of somesort). Comes right out of the side of the AC compressor, but I can't find anything else in the engine bay that looks like it would match up to.

Can anyone help me with this PLEASE!

I just checked my car and it connects to another socket that shaped the same way obviously. If you have your headlight backing plate on, take it off and fish around for the wire. It has to be there.
Good luck ;)

Yup, found it today. I must have shoved the end of it down in one of those holes around the headlights when I was painting because the plug head was all taped up as well.
But, the AC compressor is coming out again soon. Major oil leakage coming from behind it. It's either the crank seal or the timing case gasket over there. Aparently these aluminum pieces tend to "unshape" over time, and tend to leak (even with new seals) due to age and warpage.
A liberal coating of silicone gasket sealer should take care of it.
But, even with that plugged in, my blower fan and window switches don't work. I hid my owner's manual on myself, so I can't tell if there's a relay that operates this stuff that might be blown, but I visibly checked all the fuses and they all look fine. Do you know if there's a relay that controls these items? ... that is... the Blower motor and window switch controls.
I can't believe all the problems I've been having. I bought this car because it was supposed to be SIMPLE and RELIABLE. Two words I generally like. ;)

There is a common fault where the blower fan only works on position 4. If this is the case you can find a fix at http://www.bmwe30.net (http://www.bmwe30.net). Not related to the windows though.

When did the windows and blower fan quit on ya? Have you checked the fuses. Use a fuse tester, don't look at them, sometimes it's bad old fuse. If it never worked, check your starter wires....the main lead that powers the relay for the windows and blower is from the starter. Seeing how you guys had to fiddle with the starter a lot, it's possible the wire is broken or frayed somewhere.
