Hello, I have a creaking noise from the passengers side of my car under acceleration or decellaration. I have tried taking out the back seats and replacing the top mount on the passengers side and it's still there. It seems to be coming from the side panel area from the door back. Has anyone else had this problem or suggestions where to start.
Thanks

Spring pads in place? I'd check the whole suspension arm back there as well for any loose bits. Noises that happen only when moving are a PITA to find...

Hi - thanks for the reply. the spring pads are in place and I have been under the car today and I can find nothing loose at all, unfortunatley as the noise is driving me crackers. Please keep the ideas coming. Also, should you be able to push the rear shocks in by hand? Just wondering as I was able to do this when fitting top mounts.

You should be able to push them in by hand, but with some good resistance. They shouldn't push in easily.
Any luck finding the creak? I have one coming from the passenger rear and am going to replace shock mounts tomorrow. Will cross that off the list if it doesn't fix it.

Are the u-joints on the driveshaft worn out or are the u-joint bolts loose at the differential?

I am not sure if rear subframe bushings will cause this noise, but they wear out and are rarely replaced (PITA as I recall) especially if you don't have the proper tool.
