Hope it dont turn you off too much that it is an M44...
Looking forward getting good ideas & problem solving tips from this site.

Anyway, here she is... 99 318ti M44

thanks man... its still a work in progress with a long way to go - but hey, thats what long cold winters are for. :)

Oh, yeah - its actually a Downing Atlanta system - which in reality is a Magnuson supercharger with Eaton internals & seals.

Total sleeper! :D  Have you had it on a dyno yet? How does it feel?

no, no dyno yet... according to Downing Atlanta, the HP should be around 200 - depending on the condition of the motor, state of tune, etc... I have 165k, and so I do not think I'm nowhere near 200.

collecting Metric Mechanic parts as we speak (pistons/rods/head + remap with larger injectors & smaller SC pulley + lightweight flywheel), for a total rebuild - once the motor has been rebuilt, I'll dyno it. :)

after its all said & done - if I end up with 200 (on the wheels), I would be more than happy...

is it a PIA to change your oil filter being that based on the pic above, it seems the oil can is obstructed?

no, not really :)
I just detach the fuel pressure regulator & zip-tie it up and away from the filter cap - and once I'm done, I just put it back.

thank you for the compliment - but, believe me when I tell you that I still get blown away by stock turbo 2.0 FSI GTIs. :(
I think my engine is just too old at this point... 165K.

No biggy though, once I finish my rebuild with Metric's internals + remap + smaller pulley + larger injectors - I should be good to go. ;)
