Post by: Reicho318is on October 23, 2008, 07:15:12 AM
Im not sure if this is in the write catagory but i guess it a swap?:confused::confused:
Anyway I was talking to a mate and he said he just put all m3 gearing in his   e36 323i. I'm not to familiar with gearboxes and gearing but I was wondering if it would be worth installing a setup like this in my e36 318is? If anyone could shead some light on gearboxes that would help me out aswell.:D

Yes, it definitely worth if you are going to get more power for the M42 motor (either thru FI or rebuilt).

I am not sure about the gear ratios for the M3 tranny but go for the 6 speed ones. It will be more fun driving on the road. Btw, I think you have to change the drive shaft as well.
