If you don't mind me asking or inquiring, how much did your repaint cost you - and was it an entire repaint or just touchups? Did the shop bring the car down to metal, or just scuff the existing coat, prime and paint?

yea more info needed!

We did a complete paint job. Took the car down to bare metal. Disassembled everything including glass, sunroof, trim, bumpers, lights, etc. I did the dis assembly and most of the prep work and then the re assembly. My friends body and paint shop did the 5 step primer system and the color and clear coat, then the buffs. $2,000 total. There is more pictures on the "General" area under post your picture. Also one in the interior section. I was quoted $8,100 for the same job but me doing no work. I rebuilt things like fog light lens and added some new trim and gaskets for windows. It sure is a nice one now as I started with a low mile California car.

Sorry - The pictures are in this section under post your best shot.

That is a beautiful paint job. I wish I had the $ to do it to my car =/

Nothing beats a factory fresh looking E30.

emmm new paint jobs are always nice :)

Drooling over old posts? But yeah, I hope I can join the freshly-repainted-Dschwarz clique someday

Looks great! I can't wait to get my diamondschwartz repainted. Doing all the R/R yourself is the only way to go. Not just for the cost benefit (which is great by itself), but to REALLY get to know your car. I mean down to each clip and screw. Having friends with body shops is nice too!!!!
BTW what kind of paint did you go with? I've heard Glasurit was the factory option...

She's looking real good!!! I know how good it feels to see her freshly painted.

Awesome job. If you don't mind me stealing your thread for a second, do you guys ever have problems with small dings, such as in a parking lot with having someone whack your car with their door or something? Any tips to get 'em out? I seem to get a new dent every month or so and it's driving me crazy.
